Schutt F7 LX1 Youth Helmet

The Schutt Sports F7 LX1 Youth Football Helmet is designed to provide top-notch protection and comfort. It comes standard with a carbon steel guard and a black soft-cup chinstrap. At the heart of its advanced protection is the TPU (thermoplastic urethane) Cushioning, recognized as the most sophisticated impact absorption system available in football. TPU Cushioning is effective in absorbing impacts across a broad range of temperatures, outperforming any other helmet in terms of impact resistance.

The helmet features 3-Dimensional Movement Tektonic Plates, which are strategically placed in areas that experience the most impact. These Tektonic Plates are equipped with additional TPU Cushions and are capable of moving independently of the helmet in multiple directions. This design enhances the helmet’s ability to manage rotational forces, significantly improving its performance.

Additionally, the Helmet Stabilization System (HSS) includes a larger, more comfortable jaw pad configuration. It utilizes both internal and external stabilizers made from high-performance impact foam, which is wrapped in soft, durable, and comfortable synthetic leather. The HSS is designed to frame your face securely, providing a “locked-in” feel and ensuring a snug fit inside the helmet.

The Multi-Layer Integrated Liner System further enhances comfort and protection. This system includes a non-inflatable lateral air liner, a non-inflatable Comfort Fit Liner in the crown, and the Radial Diffusion System (RDS) liner. Together, these components allow for better independent movement of the liner, TPU Cushioning, and the head, leading to an improved fit and enhanced performance against rotational forces.

The Flexural Resistance Shell Design is another key feature, specifically engineered into the back shelf and temporal side wings of the helmet. This design enhances the shell’s strength and durability, while also increasing the area available for TPU Cushioning in high-impact zones, thus improving overall impact absorption.

The high-performance TPU front pad, which is a two-piece molded component, adds comfort and features dual-layer TPU for better protection.

Please note that the facemask is not included with this helmet. The SureFit inflatable air liner along the back and sides of the helmet helps reduce weight while providing a custom fit. The 3-Dimensional Tektonic Plates, positioned in the most impacted areas, move independently in various directions to enhance performance against rotational forces. The Flexural Resistance design improves the overall strength and impact absorption capabilities of the helmet, particularly in critical areas like the back shelf.
